Deeply messed up people usually over compensate by passionately propagating virtues and better than thou type bloviating.
Same happens on the left with the I am more kinder than you type projection.
People who walk the talk, dont need to project anything.
BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut sparked intense debate following her sharp critique of young protesters and modern youth culture. Labeling Westernized Indian youth as "Generation Gutter," Ranaut alleged that a section of the new generation displays distorted mindsets, prioritizing substance use and immoral behavior over education and family values. Her remarks have drawn strong backlash from student groups, activists, and political opponents across social media platforms.

@ShefVaidya@asadowaisi@BJP4India Teenagers usually see through any hypocrisy, lying and nonsense by their parents? Half the Sanghis are sanghis only on TV or social media, kids see through it. The whole nationalistic movement is built on showing others I am better/more devoted/ more Sanghi than you etc.
@sandipsabharwal AI is overrated, legacy IT is underrated sentiment running for now. Think the narrative will reverse back to AI cannibalising traditional IT in just a matter of time and gap downs will start again in IT. IMHO.
@dineshgrao@narendramodi The right wing nationalists have given room to all kinds of anti social elements including rapists and murderers as long as they wear saffron clothes, anything they do is OK. And these guys are talking nonsense about students!!! Look in the mirror!
Almost all upward mobility in India is a change of address more than anything else. The family does not climb so much as relocate, village to district town, district town to state capital, capital to metro, and each move buys a better school and a slightly wider set of possible lives for whoever comes next. This is why Indians are obsessed with cities and indifferent to improving the places they left.
I hope enough state govts in India stop fantasising about IIT’s and quantum computers and start focusing on quality primary and secondary education.
Rest will get taken care of automatically.
When reservations actually become counter productive, especially in premier educational institutes:
Just because you get in doesn’t mean you can complete it. That’s another reason why people shouldn’t make a big fuss about peoples reservation once they pass out of medical school or IIT successfully, once you are in, everyone gets graded equally.

When I studied in IIT Delhi there used to be only SC/ST reservations
At that time there used to be a minimum selection criteria which was quite relaxed but still many SC/ST seats would still remain empty
A majority of reserved category students found it very tough to compete and get good grades as once you are in the college its the same for everyone.
A maximum of 6 years (actual 4 years) was given to complete the required credits. Many could not complete even in that that extended time frame.
It’s actually counter productive then and even affects the confidence of these folks. Govt should do something about giving free primary and secondary education to disadvantaged groups to first bring them on to the same level playing field as others who were able to get good education right from childhood.
It is not the Govts fault that Irfan got left behind. But it is totally the Govts fault for fanning the flames of hatred and making it fashionable to hate the poor on social media.
India lost its soul, it lost its kindness. A nation can never be great without these. I don’t know how long it will take to undo the damage of the last 12 years on the Indian psyche.
