Google Cloud has been running out of capacity for popular machine types in us-central1, on both Compute Engine and AlloyDB. This has prevented us from scaling up/down on multiple occasions.

This is very disappointing and is making me not want to use Google Cloud.

@halfacat We've been right-sizing and trying to switch to nodes that have the best price/performance ratio for us. We have tried to modify our AlloyDB primary production DB nodes and have been unable to do so because of capacity constraints.
