@BuyEnglishMade Not disagreeing with the overall point but the rover group when launching the original freelancer in 1997 was under German ownership at the time; BMW
@alexandertolano@neilmcguigan A vast majority of us in devon are very happy with our enish identity thanks and would find such an idea to be completely bizzare
@WullieHalliday@dan_villafan What a load if completely misinformed crap. What english invasion of scotland in 1700? The scottish king inherited the english crown in the 17th century..
@JimmyMcd62 Bollocks. A scottish king inherited the english crown and tried twice to form a political union until the eventual one in 1707 (after scotland had already had its own colonial ventures). Empire in scotland was extremely popular and scotland was an architectural part of it.
@beastiekev@FBAwayDays Hilarious given you have a Ukrainian flag in your bio that you support the annexation of a people against their democratic wish by a nearby country with imperialist intentions
@MikeLiamSmith@JeremyBrookman2@RichardJJYM It's not even just wales rejoining the EU without england but also the entire gamut of regulatory, customs, product and immigration divergence from england that welsh nationalists claim they would pursue upon independence that would also necessitate a hard border with england
@JeremyBrookman2@RichardJJYM If your not seeking a hard customs border, then you will need to explain that wales would therefore have to follow all the customs rules of what would then be a foreign england with no divergence or autonomy in these areas (or up comes the border checks)
@JeremyBrookman2@RichardJJYM .. really need to be reconsidered. Very unlikely english voters would tolerate wales being a back door to their country so that would likely bring in people checks as well. It seems you support independence but not the consequences of it. You can't have your cake and eat it.
@JontyR9@RichardJJYM@JeremyBrookman2 It would absolutely result in a hard border where these checks would need to take place, and the common travel area is already dysfunctional enough and there is no guarantee this would survive into the future particularly if independent Wales adopted divergent immigration system
@JontyR9@RichardJJYM@JeremyBrookman2 It's bizzare that they somehow think england will allow them free open frictionless access to their market with no goods or immigration checks whilst their desired independent wales somehow has full and complete control over a seperate immigration and customs system
@Dan_Dawson65@scotfax@Alfaromeo170 Absolutely. It was deeply foolish of Cameron to have allowed salmond so much agency over setting the question for 2014
