@Veek_on_fleek02 Language is a major part of how people identify ethnic groups, so when a group predominantly communicates in Hausa despite having its own native language, it’s understandable why outsiders may associate them with the Hausa identity.
@Veek_on_fleek02 Compare that with the states you mentioned in southern Nigeria: the different ethnic groups there generally continue to speak their respective indigenous languages in their homes and communities, alongside English or Pidgin.
@iam_nicholasafo Enough with the rhetoric that “Àdúrà ló ń gba agbara ko.” Àdúrà ń gba, agbára náà sì ń gba. You need to use both together logically and strategically.
@Kimdollbarbie2@damilol90092229 It’s bcos of the hat and staff that he paired with the traditional attire during the colonial era. Some tribes in southern Nigeria were influenced by the colonial masters style of dressing and incorporated elements of it into their traditional attire, which they still wear today.
@Lawal0308@DrFolaseye Does it happen or not?
Now tell me, why wouldn’t Nigerian police want to be recorded while carrying out a stop and search, like they do in saner countries where police accountability is taken seriously?
@Lawal0308@DrFolaseye You can just STFU if you have nothing reasonable to say. Patients or their families do ask to record surgical procedures in hospitals, and it’s not some unheard of thing.
