Highlight of the week: @Surrey_Schools Welcome Centre staff participate in the Multicultural Week celebration at @WestermanLearns to share elements of different cultures with members of the school community through storytelling, arts & other things that make cultures unique.
And that’s a wrap on a wild school year! We are sure you all share our Vice-Principal Ms. Aulak’s excitement! Have a relaxing summer, it’s well-deserved!

What a great morning being scientists, as we experimented and observed different states of matter with snow and watercolours! Thanks for the inspiration @megsd36! @Surrey_Schools@WestermanLearns#sd36learn
Started a unit on #mentalhealth by practicing mindfulness. I had the great opportunity to host educators from Ningbao, China as I led us all through mindful eating. I learned this in a MEd class led by @kimschon when she did it with us!

I had a lovely time with the students of @WestermanLearns this morning, where we opened a new accessible playground! I'm so proud to see our government making sure every child in #SurreyBC has a place to play.

From kindergarten to grade 7 students, our community at @WestermanLearns were thrilled to be part of the Christmas Card Collective, writing almost 300 heartfelt holiday cards to the homeless! #communityproject#sd36#sd36learn
Thank you @SurreyRCMP for a powerful “Shattering the Image” presentation on gangs, drugs and the recruitment of young kids. Our grade 6/7 students had lots of thoughtful questions!
