@ThoughtfulSaint@Timmyhoover@jaxoninaction “Christ defines His Church” is not the same as “Jacob decides who gets to call themselves Mormon.” You’re policing identity and dressing it up as divine authority. D&C 10:67 says “whosoever ... cometh unto me.” Where does it say “whosoever Jacob approves of”?
@Alicornucopia1@StallionCornell@ThoughtfulSaint Terrible example. Ghandi was not LDS and didn’t claim to be LDS. Dan claims to be LDS and Jacob thinks it’s within his right to say he isn’t. Tribalism. Christ gets to decide.
@ThoughtfulSaint What are you trying to get at with this? It doesn’t matter what he thinks or what you think. Christ gets to decide who are his followers, not you. You are pushing your own brand of tribalism. The church is big enough for people who don’t agree with you
@jefe_tweets Yes. Also, he’s not going as an official representative of the church. He was invited on because of his expertise in biblical studies, not because he is LDS. He doesn’t owe it to you or anyone else so what we want has absolutely nothing to do with jt
