@AbeHalpert @magi_jay That’s v simplistic. Biden staying engaged is good. Biden wants a 2 state solution & wants the civilian casualties to stop. What he’d really like is Netanyahu & Hamas (who both benefit from the mess) to both transition out, but neither of them will. So, tricky.

@FADCLDN @magi_jay I think he had to start there because of our history with them & they are still a democracy (for the moment). I’m surprised Biden hasn’t started adding conditions, but I do think he’s close. It’s v tricky. I’m glad Biden is Pres through this.

@helring @clt92 @magi_jay From the beginning of this mess, Biden told Israel adhere to the rules of war. He helped negotiate the cease fire, and he & Blinken are working their butts off to minimize casualties & expansion, & negotiate a 2 state solution. It’s a v complex horrific situation.
