Did you know that Palestinians in Jerusalem are mere “residents” in our ancestral city and that our “permits” to stay on our land can be revoked for, say, “breaching allegiance” to the regime that is systematically displacing our people and destroying our lives?
Exhibit A:
Following attack by Jewish settlers on a lone Palestinian woman picking her olives in Yasuf, Israeli soldiers arrived to say that olive picking there was only permitted on Tuesday so they may provide "protection" against settler terror.

I am a runner.
I run marathons around whole world. Never have I been attacked violently by police forces as I was today, during the Jerusalem run from #SaveSheikhJarrah to #SaveSilwan.
I was beaten six times, attacked by Israeli forces, for running in my ancestral town & city.
Schumer made an absurd request to meet with “a Sheikh Jarrah child” to discuss “what peace looks like.” This dehumanizing infantilization is common on the Hill—they won’t speak to adults who’ll call them out, but they’ll traumatize our children to achieve the perfect photo-op.
Facebook and Instagram suppress posts about Israeli rights abuses against Palestinians, reports @HRW — deleting hundreds in 2021 on forced displacement and deadly airstrikes in occupied Gaza.
Instagram falsely tagged posts as hate speech but apologized, calling it a "glitch."
Six Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli jails are currently on hunger strike in protest of their unfair administrative detention, without a charge or trial, by the Israeli occupation authorities.

We’re met with real, material violence daily. Our loved ones are killed. Our homes are demolished. Yet what causes outrage is an author’s cultural boycott.
Settlers campaign against hypothetical violence while they systematically enact that same violence on us. It’s bullshit
Paying homage to the lives of Palestinian people while elegantly educating readers on the stark reality & struggles of Israeli occupation, Mohammed El-Kurd's (@m7mdkurd) debut poetry collection, Rifqa, is a masterpiece.

Yesterday, Israeli settlers likely from the outpost of Havat Ma’on broke into the garden in Atuwani and destroyed approximately seventy trees, from olive trees to fruit and vegetable trees. Some were trees planted through our olive tree project to protect vulnerable lands.
The Israeli occupation’s violent crackdown on Palestinians in Jerusalem persists. Journalist Nasreen Salim was among those brutalized and arrested at Damascus Gate today. She’s always on the scene. An incredibly active and selfless reporter. This targeting is intentional.
Hanna Bisharat built his house in Jerusalem in 1926 for his large family (pictured in black and white). After they were expelled during the Nakba, Golda Meir, the PM of Israel who declared "there were no such thing as Palestinians" stole this home and used it as her residence.
In less than 30 days, the Israeli army and police will forcibly drag my family, my 76 yr old father, 126 of our neighbors, & throw us onto the streets. They’ll hand our home-our memories, the jasmine trees-to Israeli settlers.. I’m heartbroken to say the least #SaveSheikhJarrah
