Coaching people makes me feel like I'm at my best. I've been away from it for six years, since the 2016 boys soccer season at Ravenna. Recently got back to coaching in a little venture I'll be talking more about soon. But, man, do I feel like I found that missing piece of me.
“No matter what they find I’m gonna call it cheating.”
“The more proof they present that it’s not cheating is just evidence of a devious coverup”
“I don’t need to prove it, I just know it’s true”
Clear that one of the reasons Slot was let go was that he wasn’t an “emotional” man and the hierarchy listened and understood the critique of fans who said so.
And actually, take the last time the Browns took one at 1. In retrospect, you'd rather have three of the other 4 QB's taken in that round 1 than Baker Mayfield. Unless you're lying to yourself.
(Being right: Still better than being first. It works in various contexts.)
In the face of more "what if we don't lose enough?!!?!" panic, I once again remind you that the three best QB's in the league were drafted at 10, 7, and 32. All via trade up. Identify and acquire YOUR guy. By any means necessary. The end.
It’s incredible how Haslam’s eagerness to spend shields him from a fair amount of the criticism his dumpster fire of a tenure as owner he otherwise deserves.
Trading Myles Garrett and starting double torn achilles, dead shoulder, 30 sexual misconduct case Deshaun Watson at QB in the same year might be Jimmy Haslam’s Mona Lisa.
(In terms of torturing the fans of his football team)
Math. Garrett was not “just traded for one” 1st round pick. A premium young player, a 1st, a 2nd and a 3rd is not Garrett getting traded for just one 1st round pick. And again, everyone is completely blowing off the 3 years of rookie deal control on Verse. What are we doing here?
When they didn’t upgrade the QB room I figured this was coming. We won’t be good again while he’s in his prime and his presence alone means you won’t finish high enough to get your guy at QB if the class lacks depth.
The fact that the Rams already have their QB of the future imo would make trading future 1s much more palatable to a team that would have to replace Stafford going forward
[🟢] NEW: Thiago Alcântara is in talks to return to Liverpool as an assistant coach following the imminent appointment of Andoni Iraola as manager.
The club sees Thiago as someone who knows the club inside out and can help restore the ‘Liverpool Way’ both on the pitch and in the training environment.
