Hey Chicago- it’s extremely cold, snowy and icy out there. Be careful! @AccessLiving has a number of cold weather resources that may be helpful. https://t.co/fBo3iQGa0k
So sad "Love, Charlie: The Rise and Fall of Chef Charlie Trotter" is sold out virtually tonight. You'd have my $ tonight @chifilmfest if you were clearer about limited availability. I watched 2 films today & would've watched more. Virtual options rock! Thanx 4 that!
Access Living adds its voice in support of access to abortions for all people who need and choose them, including people with disabilities. Supporting access to abortions is supporting equal access to health services we all need and deserve.
PSA: Please don't use accessibility overlays. Just...take our word for it, ok? They're terrible. They make accessibility WORSE. They make your website HARDER TO USE. If they were shoes they'd be hole-riddled FLIPFLOPS. #a11y
Shout out to @RepKellyCassidy and @AccessLiving for the tireless work that went into passing this legislation.
I also want to give special thanks to Renee Watts, whose brother Stephon was shot by police while he was suffering a mental health crisis.
@JWPascale Wanted to point out the challenges @DrAngelLove is having getting wheelchair accessible cabs in DC. Interested in covering? https://t.co/cSrMZOPWTX
MEDIA: DO YOU HAVE A #DISABILITY or know someone who does? Has the #Covid19#pandemic made access to medical care, vaccines, support services, or employment more difficult? @chrisegusa & @kalw want your #CovidDisabilityStories to inform future reporting! https://t.co/gSUmVh2fQB
I really wish this @latimes opinion piece about Naomi Osaka and disability rights was by a Black and/or Asian woman with mental health disabilities. Perspective, culture & nuance matters

I had no idea this was why Anthony Hopkins was not on hand to accept his Academy award. The fact that the Academy would not allow him to use zoom is simply ridiculous.
