Those who knew a previous version of you and can't let go of that will say, "You've changed!"
👉🏾But, those who understand where you are headed will say, "You've grown."
Just feel like someone needs to hear that today. Stay well and keep moving forward. 🫂
He should be alive.
Only one year on this earth.
Gone for what you may ask.
A misdemeanor.
Kohen was not collateral.
He was a victim of the state.
No parent wants to outlive their children.
Yet that is the burden his parents now carry.
A lifetime of silence now awaits.
A punishment courtesy of the state.
An ending that should never have come.
One more case.
One more count .
In a ledger that has no end.
A coffin so small
Lifted by tiny hands.
We truly are the damned.
That time when an unarmed Iranian ship was invited to take part in an Indian naval exercise alongside the United States.
Its sailors were welcomed on land and paraded before Indian President Modi as a gesture of respect.
Then, at the last moment, the United States suddenly abruptly withdrew from the exercise, only to wait and torpedo the very ship it had just stood beside.
What followed was even more grotesque.
After attacking an unarmed vessel, the US refused to rescue the sailors it had blown into the sea, abandoning them to drown.
The grim work of recovering bodies was left to the Sri Lankan Navy.
This wasn’t warfare,it was treachery of the most disgraceful kind: an ambush carried out under the pretense of diplomacy, followed by a cold refusal to show even the most basic human decency to the dying.
It would represent a collapse of every norm that supposedly governs civilized conduct at sea.
And yet, instead of outrage, much of the American media response has been indifference or rationalization.
The bombing of a girls’ school is brushed aside; talk of carpet-bombing Tehran is floated as if it were just another policy option.
When atrocities are normalized and cruelty is laundered into “strategy,” the line between reporting and complicity begins to disappear......
A North Vancouver plant has made the chlorine that purifies Western Canada's drinking water since 1957. In April, council voted to shut it down by 2030.
The plant makes 40% of Canada's liquid chlorine and supplies 70% of what treats drinking water in B.C. and Alberta. The twist: one of the loudest opponents turned out to be a California competitor running a fake grassroots campaign.

A very simple scan of the 2024 hate crimes report (Toronto) shows Jewish people mostly have their property messed up or graffiti, which includes "Free Palestine"
Real violence happens the most to 2SLGBTQ+, black people, Muslims, South Asians and worse, indigenous people - who are experiencing a crisis of murder in this country and aren't even f**king mentioned on the report?? one could assume its because the police are often their racist killers

I analyzed data from the #HamOnt@HamiltonPolice Hate Crimes Unit. In the seven years of data that I received, there were hundreds of complaints about "anti-Jewish" hate incidents. All were "property" incidents, i.e. graffiti, except for exactly one incident per year, which was "verbal".
I personally had a Palestine human rights lawn sign stolen from my front yard. I reported it to the police. They knew I'm a rabbi. So, they reported as an "anti-Jewish" hate incident!!
Do NOT accept reports of anti-Jewish incidents at face value without investigating further.
“We must complete the conquest of the remaining 30 per cent.”
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called for the establishment of Jewish settlements within Gaza, claiming that the Israeli military controls nearly 70 per cent of the strip
Almost as if he has a fixed idea of what "Weltklasse" means. He can't seem to lose it, but other people can't ever work to obtain it, either. I wonder what on earth gave him that idea. I'll leave it at that.
Tonight, the government brought to the Knesset plenum a law which would officially prohibit the Red Cross from visiting Palestinian prisoners in Israeli torture camps.
MK Galit Distel-Atbaryan of the Likud party, the author of this law, admits publicly that if the red cross visited Palestinian prisoners, it would be a PR disaster for the state of Israel.
The government knows very well that the moment any humanitarian organization sees the marks of torture and inhumane conditions on the Palestinian prisoners, thousands of whom are detained without charge or justification, the facade will crumble. The world will know the cruelty that this government has facilitated. Therefore, they must cover their tracks.
Unfortunately for the government, it can't hide its crimes against humanity forever. I am proud to say that we successfully voted down this law.
Now, I call for the immediate facilitation of humanitarian visits to Palestinian detainees by the Red Cross. Take a stopwatch and start counting. The time for truth is on its way.
Dr. Tim Henrich of UCSF at #polybiofallsymposium2025: tissue-based assessments of Long Covid patients reveals SARS-CoV-2 RNA detected in several bone marrow biopsies. More BM biopsies coming down the pipeline.
You’ve heard that SARS‑CoV‑2 raises cardiovascular risk for years after infection. But if the virus (or its antigens) persist in hematopoietic tissue and drive clonal hematopoiesis, that risk may be more severe and longer‑lasting – and could extend to blood cancers as well. This is why “living with COVID” when we do not yet know what that means is a dangerous experiment. "More bone marrow biopsies coming down the pipeline."
Women wearing hijabs were among dozens physically assaulted or verbally harassed while attending Iran’s World Cup matches in California earlier this month, a civil rights group has said.
The local branch of the Council on American–Islamic Relations (CAIR) said it received “multiple reports of hate-based verbal harassment and physical assault” against women perceived to be Iranian following the country's matches against Belgium and New Zealand.
“According to eyewitnesses, scores of agitators appeared to target individuals perceived to be of Iranian origin, attendees holding Iranian or Palestinian flags, and women wearing hijabs,” CAIR-LA said in a statement.
“Attendees reported being spat on, kicked, punched, and pushed to the ground, and women had their hijabs ripped off,” the group added. “Several individuals were further harassed online, reportedly having their personal identifying information – including their phone numbers, home addresses, and places of employment – publicly released.”
CAIR-LA said it had sent a letter to the Los Angeles district attorney’s office, as well as the local police and the city’s World Cup Host Committee, calling for the incidents to be investigated and for “appropriate security measures” to protect fans.
Some of the harassment was perpetrated by pro-monarchy Iranian Americans, according to the New Arab.
The Iranian team’s hopes of reaching the knockout stages were dashed on Sunday by a 3-3 draw between Algeria and Austria. The team faced discrimination by US authorities, who imposed visa restrictions that forced players to fly to Mexico after every game, denying them recovery and training time.
Captain Mehdi Taremi said it had been a “disaster World Cup” for his team. He told reporters after a game against Egypt that Fifa president Gianni Infantino visited the team and promised to help resolve some of their issues, but that many of the problems persisted.
"We always complain about those things, but no one helps," he said.
Just to recap where we are:
"From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free."
-omg, how inhumane, you terrorist!
"We'll invade, colonize, genocide, ecocide, scholasticide, terrorize, & ethnically cleanse our way from the river to the sea. No one here but us."
-no response.
URGENT! For any country where (from Italy to Thailand or Brazil) possible war criminals go on holiday and R&R. 🇮🇱 soldiers must be investigated, evidence assessed, and responsibility determined through DUE PROCESS.
This is not incitement to commit violence. It is accountability.
It’s not just Argentina.
Now Israeli colonizers have descended on Peru, where they’re covering trail markers with photos of IOF soldiers, and demanding no one else enter “their” land.
On Friday at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, a new exhibit “Palestine Uprooted: Nakba Past and Present” was debuted, and its now open to the public.
Palestinian voices have been silenced for too long. Their stories, their lived experiences – their struggles –
Doctors get long COVID. Doctors' loved ones get long COVID.
We don't often share this publicly, because we're used to being the white coat, not the hospital gown.
Thanks to Dr Molly Phelps for sharing. Wishing her and her husband the best.

"Ne ödemelerimi yapabileceğim kredi kartım çalışıyor ne havale yapabiliyorum; sağlık sigortam iptal edildi, otellere rezervasyon yapamıyorum. Kendimi Pablo Escobar gibi hissediyorum. Bunların hepsi, 'Gazze'de İsrail soykırım yapıyor' dediğim için."
