Uh, no, Mr. Alcoholic. I’m not indulging in your insane nonsense.
You must be ill then. Or… maybe you’re just mentally unstable and this is your mental breakdown.
“They are my favorite thing.” Alfric confirmed playfully.
“Simple fix, I’ll turn it into a new hat every day. Ooh, a nice pointy one to match our magical aesthetic, no?”
"You did?" His tone indicating he really should reconsider his perception. Any creative gift is certainly not down to Lawrence.
"Ruin the surprise but since you love messing with cursed objects said hat wouldn't come off."
“That’s just uncreative.” Countered the Star Drifter.
Both arms folded atop his chest as he leant back against his chair. “I expected better from you.”
"You can get it, I'll just regift it on yours." Maybe even with an added curse, for the inconvenience of having to receive it in the first place.
" It'll pass, I won't complain about a later start to the morning."
Sort of? A fraction of him couldn’t detect which side of the scale to go off of.
“Think I might have your next birthday present in mind. A big hat, like one the ladies wear in the 1800s. Unless you prefer bonnets, I can definitely get those too.”
Lawrence had to suppress a snort of laughter, was he actually getting away with it? Not as serious as his fully vampiric counterparts it was still somewhat unpleasant and he wasn't awake enough to consider attempting it.
"Or at least until there's some good cloud cover."
In a quip, his eyes squinted. He couldn’t tell entirely if Lawrence was making a joke or if he was simply being sarcastic? Perhaps he was playing into something Alfric couldn’t catch on as it may be a Vampire thing he didn’t know about.
“Right.” Was all he managed to~
Alright so maybe he was exaggerating, but Alfric didn't need to know that.
"Trapped." Which in truth meant he wasn't going to cross the school grounds in this heat with the sun overhead.
“I’m not exactly encouraging this, but then again…”
It wasn’t a terrible idea all things considered. It wasn’t as if he was trying to murder them out a slight fit of rage… was he?
“That’s not nice to say about a student.” He couldn’t help but smile a pinch at Andrais’ agony over a child’s personality.
“Next time, I’ll take the first shift of the week. Huh? Will that make you feel better?”
