Wildberries är inte ”ryska Amazon”. Det är Amazon, Walmart, Wish, Alibaba och hela ryska landsbygden i ett och samma monster. Sedan 2004 har företaget blivit en av de mest strukturellt viktiga delarna av den ryska ekonomin — och nu står två av dess största logistiknav i ruiner.
Wildberries och Ozon väntas kontrollera 77 % av hela e‑handeln i Ryssland vid slutet av 2026. Wildberries ensamt: 45 %. Det är alltså inte ”ett företag”. Det är rysk vardag.

4,5 miljoner dagliga beställningar. 48 miljoner månatliga shoppare. 95 % leveranser inom 24 timmar. Tusentals utlämningsställen. En miljon aktiva säljare.
Det här är inte bara logistik. Det är ett helt ekosystem av småföretagare, leverantörer, chaufförer, lagerarbetare och utlämningsställen som nu står och undrar varför himlen plötsligt exploderade.

Wildberries har dessutom trängt undan traditionella butiker i åratal. För många ryssar är deras lilla utlämningspunkt lika central som kiosken brukade vara. Och nu är två av de största lagren borta — poff — som om någon tryckt på ”factory reset” för rysk e‑handel.
Det här kommer göra ont. Inte bara i Moskva. Utan i hela den ryska ekonomins nervsystem.

I’m not that old but I still remember a time when this country used to send help when people were in danger.

Canada is our closest neighbor, one of our oldest allies, and one of the first countries to show up when Americans need help. The common sense response is compassion, cooperation, and every available firefighting resource we can spare.

Helping allies shouldn’t be controversial. Wake the hell up, #USA, and stop acting like petulant children.

My struggle with Speaker Mike Johnson is not that he is a conservative or that we disagree politically. People of good faith can disagree. My struggle is that he publicly presents himself as a “Bible-believing Christian,” yet repeatedly promotes claims that have been shown to be false—including the claim that Democrats shut down the government to provide free healthcare to undocumented immigrants.
Jesus did not teach us to manipulate the truth to gain power. He said, “Let your ‘Yes’ be yes and your ‘No’ be no.” He taught that we recognize people by their fruits, and he reserved some of his strongest criticism for religious leaders who appeared righteous publicly while acting differently in practice.
Christian faith is not proved by quoting the Bible, displaying religious symbols or condemning others. It is demonstrated through truthfulness, mercy, humility, justice and love.
Mike Johnson does not embarrass me because he is a Republican. He embarrasses me when he uses Christianity to provide moral cover for dishonesty and political hypocrisy. That is not the way of Jesus—and he does not speak for my faith

Vitaliy Ilyin has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for donating just 1,000 UAH (about €20) to Ukraine's Armed Forces.

The russian occupiers called it "high treason."

Rop på hjälp från norra Ryssland: en regional nödsituation väntar — och nu säger även Kreml‑lojala politiker det högt.

När Enade Ryssland i Arkhangelsk — alltså Putins egna — går ut och ber Kreml om akut krisfinansiering för att hålla bostäder varma i vinter, då vet man att läget är riktigt illa.

Bränsleleveranserna till norra Ryssland har rasat, budgeten är underfinansierad, och elbolagen får bara en tredjedel av vad som behövs för att täcka kostnaderna. Resultatet? Löner, skatter, bränsleinköp, elräkningar, reparationer och investeringar haltar eller stoppas helt.
Och det blir värre.
Programmet som ska leverera 21 000 ton kol och 12 000 ton diesel till avlägsna bosättningar ligger efter schemat. Om havet fryser innan bränslet kommer fram måste värmeanläggningar stängas. I norra Ryssland. Inför vintern.

Det mest talande är att regionens pressavdelning för första gången erkänner att västliga sanktioner slår mot budgetintäkterna. Tidigare har guvernören Tsybulsky påstått att sanktionerna “gynnar regionen”.

Nu är masken av. Arkhangelsk erkänner att man inte klarar grundläggande uppvärmning utan pengar från Moskva.
Det här är inte bara en kris. Det är ett systemfel som Kreml inte längre kan gömma.

Russia unleashed the largest number of ballistic missiles since the start of the war — around four dozen — in a brutal terrorist attack on the Ukrainian capital, killing and injuring people.

We urge appropriate and strong responses. We need devastating pressure on Moscow to end this terror.

There can be no pauses in increasing sanctions and isolation of Russia. The 21st EU package must be unblocked now.

There can be no pauses in the protection of life. Agreements on additional interceptors must be implemented without delay.

Everyone who is holding back these vital protection tools from delivery should know that the cost of delay is measured in human lives.

There can be no pauses in our joint work to develop European protection from ballistic terror. We rely on anti-ballistic coalition to advance its work quickly.

There can be no decisions to whitewash Russia’s war crimes by restoring its rights in international sports competitions. The blood of Ukrainians is on the hands of the sports bureaucrats taking such immoral steps.

Putin will not be stopped through appeasement. He will go further unless he is stopped by strength now. Provide Ukraine with all the necessary means to stop Russia and end the war.
