@Sore61117Pierre@EricWhitacre Ta. Thought it might be something like that. None of us had heard the word before & we live at the seaside! So do I encourage it to be pronounced "comas" (as in being in a coma) - our default guess last week? Or do we put the "b" in - "comb( as in hair) - bears (the animal)?
Quick question for you please, @EricWhitacre. Got a U.K. choir working beautifully on your Seal's Lullaby, but we've no idea how to pronounce "combers" in bar 25. TBH we don't know what a comber is (Mediterranean fish? Village in Northern Ireland? Something else?) Help please!?
@BBCNews re. NUFC coverage today. Very annoying: mispronouncing Newcastle; incessant jabber instead of letting us enjoy the experience; it wasn't "in Town More" it was "on the Town Moor". Don't talk over the music- that's oafish. Very disappointed you ruined the tv coverage.
Cycling Film Festival in Edinburgh last night. VG. Touring England next. @mrendell @nedboulting @itvcycling@ImlachHair. Yes I've got a Gary tshirt. https://t.co/vyvo0SNHJO @CyclingEurope
@lisanandy Aye, in the same way The Great Escape, The Guns of Navarone and The Sound of Music also are. Waiting for festive Godzilla film- THEN I'll be truly happy.
@matosman The Rider's great! Watch out, you might get lured into reading Ned Boulting and Matt Rendell too. And then Geraint Thomas and before you know it, you're a road cycling fan. . . Laxness is also great & my mate did her uni dissertation on be-bop too. All looks a perfect pile: enjoy
@mrendell Yep, that was a cracking year. Got Tommy as my laptop background as inspiration: no matter how hard life is, if he can do that . . .
Think that's 13 years trying to get ITV to use Harry Bird's "Another Link for my Chain" song at some point: namechecks Basque climbs and Big Mig!
