Wildfire is a weapon of mass destruction. Any bad actor can destroy more homes than a tactical nuke with just a lighter on a windy day. We need to start addressing this issue as the unrivaled national security threat that it is.
One of the more novel pieces of equipment we run is The Monster — conceived, designed, and built right here in Bastrop.
It weighs ~140,000 lb and carries Prufrock sections that weigh between 465–480k lb. Its platform tilts ±10°, which lets the machine launch directly into the ground — no pit, no shaft, no concrete, and no crane.
Because it eliminates the crane, we can launch and retrieve machines inside buildings and parking garages, which is key to maximizing tunnel usefulness in urban areas.
When we complete a tunnel and retrieve Prufrock on The Monster, an SPMT can be driven directly under it.
We then drive Prufrock to the next tunnel site, where The Monster tilts downward and launches it straight into the ground. This enables Prufrock to relaunch in under 24 hours.
The video below is from us retrieving Prufrock 3 inside the Tesla Gigafactory.

Why am I so passionate and willing to burn all of my political capital for the sake of our nation’s veterans and restoring the VA?
Let me explain…
The VA is a foundational piece of the American government puzzle, and not many realize it. Much like the FBI and DOJ are key pillars holding up our democracy, the VA represents widespread trust in our Republic as a whole in a way that no other agency does.
When the Department of War asks for $1.5 trillion in defense spending, the request is predicated on making America’s military the most elite, revered, feared, and consequential force on planet Earth. The contract essentially says: “If you give us these hard-earned tax dollars, we will use them to revolutionize our military and take care of service members.”
It’s a reasonable ask so long as the second half of the question gets answered: “If we give you all this money for war efforts, what promises can you make for veterans who suffer debilitating injuries as a result of their service?”
As of right now, the Department of War, Congress, and the VA can’t answer that question because the care for those who sacrificed is terrible. Furthermore, they’re asked to fight their own government upon returning home just to receive the necessary care for a normal life after injury.
This will not fly any longer. @SecVetAffairs Collins is failing the DOW, the President, Congress, the American voter, and most importantly, veterans who are suffering. If we’re to have beautiful, safe cities, an elite military, a thriving manufacturing base, and trust in our institutions, reforming the VA must be at the absolute top of the priority list.
Look at what the President and Director Patel have done with the FBI in just 18 short months for an example of the reverberating effect of competent leadership and ambitious, unrelenting goals.
A 126-year low in violent crimes across America.
I will pound the table for veterans until this is done and bring it up in every conversation I have with President Trump going forward.
Testing Galileo's law of motion on the Moon!
55 years ago today, Apollo 15 astronaut David Scott performed his feather and hammer experiment on the Moon, demonstrating that without air resistance all objects fall at the same rate.
@ellylalibertetv@WISCTV_News3 Like…she TOTALLY….like…Literally…Did Not know shit about the “financial impact”
Intelligence of a teenager and talks like one too. Pride of Madison 🤪
I am grateful to everyone who spoke at the Whitmore Family Farm in Barron County for a town hall on the encroaching Sandhill Solar Project.
Our beautiful, productive farmland is no place for industrial-scale wind and solar developments!
While touring Schuette Metal, owner John Peterson and I discussed how crushing overregulation is to growth. As a former construction worker, I’ve seen firsthand how excessive government red tape drives up costs, delays projects, and makes it harder for builders to do their jobs. In Congress, I’ll fight to cut the red tape and stand up for our builders and manufacturers!
Very rarely do you see pure acts of heroism.
We saw 2 in the last week.
This is America.
These are heroes.
Ryder Williams and Jordan Salinas.
This is the Greatest Country on Earth filled with the Greatest People on Earth.
