INSULT TO INJURY: Colorado's Democrat governor and the local police chief originally denied that Venezuelan gangs had taken over apartment complexes in Aurora, but now they admit that the Tren de Aragua controls at least four properties. Yet, instead of cracking down on these criminal gangs, the city chose to charge a landlord for not maintaining a safe environment for tenants. Adding insult to injury, Aurora police refused the landlord's request to hire off-duty officers, claiming the property was too dangerous.
