@scottrbishop@realDrTT I honestly think the financial side of it is a motive for more than few of them. We are taking away their customers, reducing their revenue, threatening their employment. And doing it with a lay clergy that doesn't get a salary just rubs salt in the wound.
Guess which one is the lie (and only one is a lie):
A) I proposed to my wife after only one date, and it was a double date with her brother and his gf.
B) I was locked up by the police at the tender age of 6.
C) I accidently melted a spoon in chemistry class.
D) My friend, who was a cop, wound up giving me a speeding ticket.
Let's play 3 truths & a lie:
I used to be able to sing "What's Love Got to Do With It" like Tina Turner.
I'm fluent in Russian.
I can do a mean Elvis impression.
I was a model in my 20s.
Try to guess which is a lie. Then Quote post this with your own 3 truths & a lie.
@FiredUpCoug My wife was 19 when we married. When our oldest daughter turned 19 I looked at her, realized that was how old my wife was we married, and wondered why nobody tried to stop us. I'm glad they didn't though.
If I thought there was an even 1% chance that you would listen to my correction of your many errors and misunderstandings about my faith, I'd take the time to correct you. But you have convinced me you have no intention of actually coming to know what you are talking about. You have nothing but straw men, and you are only interested in getting attention. Arrogance and ignorance are a bad combination.
@BuzzzStryker@thatchapfella Another dodge. Are you afraid to answer such a simple question? We can talk about scripture after you show some spine and defend what you have already claimed.
@BuzzzStryker@thatchapfella Another dodge. Answer the question. You are the one who made the claim that morality can and has changed. The burden of evidence is on you.
More straw manning. Never said that ALL morality was in the 10 commandments. I asked that since you think morality can change, which of the 10 commandments do you think are no longer in force?
Why not just answer the question. Or specify what was morally good in the OT, and morally wrong since the NT. Not changes in how faith is practiced or expressed, actual moral laws that have changed according to you.
@BuzzzStryker@thatchapfella Then how can you trust him, he can change the rules on you anytime he wants to. You can't put any faith in scriptures that say God can't lie or doesn't change because he can just decide to change that.
My Ward tested a great idea today for the new 2 hour block. At the start of Sunday School a large TV at the front displayed a large countdown clock (minutes only) starting at 25, so it was clear how much time in the lesson was left. During that time we discussed Ester. When it got to zero it reset to a 5 minute countdown, and we all had to stand up and move to a different seat to simulate going to EQ or RS. When that got to zero the timer started over at 25 minutes and we discussed Job. It went really well, I think this can work.
@PeacemakingSt Her smile. Holding her hand across the alter. Grabbing her @$$ while the pictures were being taken on the temple grounds after (nobody could see it happen)
