I am a woman.
One of God’s crowning creations, I have a mind that is amazing, a heart that is loyal and kind.
When I love it is with all I have.
I’m witty, beautiful, smart, tenacious.
I deserve the same kind of boundless, unconditional love I give.
Why are so many gatekeepers of Christianity afraid to read the Book of Mormon with a sincere heart and then pray to see if it is true?
If it is purely fiction, your sincere heart would and plea to God would thusly indicate.
Read the Holy Bible.
Cover to cover.
Pray about it, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to you. (The final paragraph in the final book, Revelation, provides specific warnings to those who add or take away from it.)
Tell us then, after reading the Holy Bible and the revelation of the Holy Spirit whether Mormons believe in the One true God, his ONLY Son, Jesus Christ, or are they following the false teachings of a man in the 1800’s who liked to mimic Christianity and also add and take away from the teachings of the Holy Bible?
Praying for you, Mike.
Mormons have faith in Jesus Christ.
Mormons are baptized.
Mormons keep the commandments and live the beatitudes.
Mormons care for the poor and needy.
Mormons read the Bible.
Mormons aren’t Christian’s?
@Abbreviated@JordanHarmon@ItsGoneAwry Our meeting houses and all visitors centers near many temple site ARE open to the public. Members with a Trmple Recommend are welcome in the temple.
If you look for LDS criticism of other Christian fairings, you won’t find it. We are disciples of Christ. We turn the other cheek, do unto others…, and strive to be as samaritans for all our brothers and sisters.
Sadly, the rhetoric only escalates. And they call their flying monkeys in to join the fray.
Wonder what would happen if we started saying “real Christians who follow Christ don’t cuss or have premarital sex and dress as though their bodies are temples. All others are not Christians.”
Because frankly, if I have to act like the “Mormons aren’t Christians” Christians from X I would have to behave like I never knew Jesus.
@ItsGoneAwry This is the result of anti-LDS rhetoric. You can call the discussion something other than hate, but the truth is there’s far more hostility toward the LDS faith from other Christian denominations than they care to admit.
@atarimoe@PreacH0921@the_kjb The post initially indicated he prayed but did not specify if he read the text. No fallacy in clarifying as the question is only relevant IF the text is read with an open mind and followed by prayer
DEI: SAG winner Idris Elba is warning Amazon MGM not to make the next James Bond woke. Elba says Bond should stay middle-aged, white, & male. No race swapping. No gender swapping. Stay 'pure' to the character. Even Hollywood actors are rejecting the DEI takeover.
@McJuggerNuggets Then… you shouldn’t have dismembered your baby, posted about it publicly, and complained every 90 seconds when the comments didn’t go your way.
@gwowls@Lovemyproxy I too made the decision when I was told I’m a retarded heretic who should throw my Book of Mormon in the garbage and repent. Thank goodness 567 people said it because that last one finally stuck.
So… clergy has to keep the 10 commandments (no adultery) but does the congregation understand that the Bible says looking at someone in lust is adultery?
Revolt you say... Because the CLERGY can't have multiple partners...
I never want to hear them harp on the historical practice of LDS polygamy every again. Not another word.

Incredible. @indianmotocycle is coming directly at @harleydavidson’s wokeness problem with their new ad. Is this the first time a company has straight up attacked their competitor over DEI? If they keep this up they might just take the crown from Harley.
I would wager that most of the people populating my comments (out of nowhere mind you - most I don’t follow and don’t follow me) believe that premarital sex is okay, taking the Lord’s name in vain is a regular occurrence, routinely pepper their conversation with cuss words.
If we wanted to find their sins, we could. We don’t. Because it is petty. Contention spreads like Ebola. But I’m vaccinated by the truth.
Latter-day Saint high schoolers attend 1 hour of dedicated scripture study every day of the school year for four years.
Average number of school days per year is 180.
180 hours a year X 4 years = 720 hours before they graduate high school. Other personal study adds to this.
Missionaries spend 1 hour of personal study and 1/2 hour of companionship study every day of the week for two years. That equals 1095 hours over the course of a two year mission.
720 + 1095 = a minimum of 1,815 hours of study by the time they are 20 years old.
@PreacH0921@the_kjb Have you ever read the BoM with an open mind and taken the challenge in earnest? If so, keep listening for the still small voice and do what God leads you to do. If not, here is another invitation.
@the_kjb You read the book with an open mind and prayed about it, yes?
Then waited for your answer?
Ok. If that is the case, I encourage you to pray and ask God to lead your life according to His will. And ask him to know where your feet should walk.
