So it evens out the power dynamic, and it's completely fine to have different viewpoints! It's a very complex grey situation and everyone will weigh aspects differently

I don't mean to undermine your lived experience, I'm trying to communicate the framework how abuse is identified

Looking at a relationship through a lense of power and control is how abuse is identified, assessed and investigated.

This is why a survivor resisting abuse is not abusive in turn.

This may be a cultural difference. anyone can abuse anyone, verbally or physically. I was thinking of it from a consistent, gender based violence lense
