Last day of actual student teaching today! Itβs almost graduation day. I am so grateful to have gotten the opportunity to be at BGHS this semester. I have learned so much teaching and subbing, and I have built such fulfilling relationships with students! Thank you Purples! ππ
Bittersweet last day with all of my Juniors before I start my long-term substitute position. Thanks to my mentor teacher for making it so special! I have loved building relationships with these students all year, and I am so sad to leave them!π@BGHSPurplesNews@WKUCEBS
Yesterday during my first solo week, students in my U.S History classes created their own political cartoons about businesses they saw as modern-day monopolies. They were all so creative! @BGHSPurplesNews@WKUCEBS
Last week I started a citizenship unit with a couple periods, and today during my first observed lesson of the semester students will be doing an interactive slideshow that leads them through our local justice system! @BGHSPurplesNews@WKUSTE@opeswku
It's a week full of testing in Mr. White's classroom @WEHSRaiders! While students test, I am working on planning my last formal lesson for the AP classes. This lesson will help them review before their AP test in May! @BgtaylorKim@CEPTatWKU@WKUCEBS
This week @WEHSRaiders, I am creating and giving a pretest to prepare for our lesson about suburbanization next week. Can not wait to see how much the students learn! @BgtaylorKim@CEPTatWKU@WKUCEBS
I had such a fun experience teaching my first lesson of CEPT II today @WEHSRaiders! Students learned all about alternative energy sources and which ones we could use in Bowling Green.π

I would like the thank BGHS for inviting CEPT students to participate in a mock on demand scoring event. This real world opportunity was so valuable for future teachers. Collaboration is the key to success. @BGHSPurplesNews@WKUCEBS@WKUmartin@wku@CEPTatWKU@BGISD
Last day in the schools for CEPT I! Thank you to @DrakesCreekMS & @JeanieSmith4KY for allowing me into your classrooms. It was a great learning opportunity, and I loved learning alongside all the 8th graders. @DrMargarella@CEPTatWKU
Composition notebooks are used in my CEPT I classroom to help students learn. It provides them a central place to put their thoughts and work and is a great tool for them to review.

This week in CEPT I we are creating our Teaching Google Sites and learning how to become more marketable teachers. Got to put in the work to get that dream job one day. @DrMargarella@CEPTatWKU@WKUSTE
It is super important that students see themselves represented in their classrooms! History classrooms should share a diverse array of stories. One way my CEPT classroom does this is with posters.

Having desks set up in groups makes it super easy for students to work with one another! I have seen many Kagan cooperative learning strategies employed @DrakesCreekMS such as Quiz-Quiz-Trade. π€

Had such a great experience yesterday at @DrakesCreekMS getting to teach my first lesson about the French & Indian War! Students could not believe both the pictures on the slide were of George Washington!
