Sometimes I genuinely want to know what you guys define independence to mean.

The DRC has been in conflict for the past 30+ years. And this is not counting the war that Belgium started there with the help of the United States, days after this “independence” was proclaimed. Guess who has been funding the violence? Just guess.

Congolese people don’t produce smartphones. There are no factories churning out semiconductors there. So tell me again, what do you mean they’ve been independent since 1960?

Ever heard of Mobutu Sese Seko? The dude that took $5k bribe from the CIA to help remove Lumumba, the first prime minister of DRC. He succeeded and got Lumumba killed. Then went ahead to loot $5 billion from DRC all while maintaining the backing of the United States of America. Yes, you heard that right.

The United States alongside Belgium started a war in the mineral rich region of DRC barely days after independence, bribed Mobutu to help remove Lumumba from power, had Lumumba killed and has been involved in the violence in the country ever since then.

Again, what do you mean by independence?

Something very funny happened today.

One APC stakeholder known as Akin Alabi (farmer), went on twitter to explain how frying akara is a most lucrative business ever in the world.

After preaching, one guy started praying for him.

The guy prayed that all his children would all end up selling akara, none of them will prosper in anything if not akara. They will akara before they eat, buy clothes or pay rent.

After praying, they asked the APC guy to say Amen.

Naso my guy take run. It's been over 6 hours, he never reply.
