@Top100Rick The current regime is struggling with lack of significance of the courses that layer the foundation. You imagine a US open you think Pebble, Oakmont, Wingfoot, Pinehurst. The Open St Andrews, Carnoustie, Troon…when imagining a PGA championship what course do you imagine?
@Top100Rick I think the problem is more the courses they lost cause of it. Haseltine, Medinah, Whistling Straits especially as it was becoming thier answer to Pebble at the US Open or St Andrews at the Open. Courses that were the identity of the PGA that they just won’t go to due to cold.
@jamierkennedy@TheOpen What’s even crazier to think is he had as many of not one or two more wins than Phil up to that point. Was the best player in the world for 1 and a half years (98 through halfway of 99) and won a major. If he had better health we’re talking 40 wins and probably 4-5 majors min.
