It should be illegal for medical professionals to work for 24 hours straight. What an absurd practice. We don’t let pilots fly planes for 24 hours straight. Why do we let people who make life and death decisions for total strangers do this?
why would i spend my beautiful lifetime at war with my body when i could just love it, give it offerings and treat it like the most precious gift and sacred temple that it is?

We are not idol worshippers. We are Olórìsà. We are Ẹlẹ́bọ. I practice Ìṣẹ̀ṣe, the traditional religion of the Yorùbá people.
One thing many people misunderstand is the meaning of the word Òrìṣà. Òrìṣà does not mean idol or god. Òrìṣà is Òrìṣà. In Ìṣẹ̀ṣe, Olódùmarè reveals its presence through nature and nature itself is sacred.
Each Òrìṣà represents different forces and elements of nature. For example, Sàngó is associated with thunder and lightning, Ọ̀ṣun, Yemoja and Olókùn are associated with water, Ọ̀sányìn is connected to herbs, leaves and roots while Ọya is associated with water, wind, storms and transformation. There are many other Òrìṣà, each representing different aspects of the natural world and existence.
What we have are icons and sacred symbols of the Òrìṣà not idols. These symbols serve as reminders of the divine forces in nature and our connection to them.
