The site says we have cleared 1 million signatures! I hate being like this, but there's a chance a significant number of them aren't real. That means we have to keep signing in overdrive mode to make up for them! I'll have a video on this later today.

The #StopKillingGames EU Citizens' Initiative is the best shot we'll likely get at a pro-consumer outcome. This is NOT just an internet petition. Only 200k more signatures means the EU Commission MUST take action.
If you live in the EU, consider signing!

Since release, Tiny Combat Arena has been designed to be able to be played 100% offline. This means with no connection to Steam whatsoever. If Steam isn't detected, the game will save all its settings locally, and Steam APIs and features are bypassed/forwarded to local versions.
I play a lot of retro games. I'm spoiled by the fact that you just install a game and play. For the next generation of gamers, this is becoming increasingly untrue with even singleplayer games like The Crew being rendered inoperable due to mandatory server-side connections.

@chihirobelmo Oh, yeah mission design was different, but the mechanics were the same. Yeah I don't think the mission design in Over G was very good compared to the "boring" missions in EAF, but Arena mode for me was the main draw since it gave you a sandbox to play the awesome simlite game.
@Why485 @CarlHaufle @dannyodwyer@nuclearoption@HiddenAsbestos @bahamutod We were making some of the most successful flight sims in the industry at EA in the late 90s but unfortunately the execs looked at us and said “give us a million seller and we’ll keep making them”. The market just wasn’t there for a rapidly growing company back then.
@CarlHaufle @dannyodwyer It couldn't be just me. It'd need to include other developers like Mitch behind @NuclearOption, @HiddenAsbestos' Thunder Helix, VTOL VR's @bahamutod, and more. Going over the death of the "mainstream flight sim" in the 00s, and its recent revival is a much more interesting story.
@CarlHaufle @dannyodwyer@nuclearoption@HiddenAsbestos @bahamutod This is a topic that I can talk about for hours. It's a complex narrative that weaves not just the rapid technological improvements of the 90s PC games, but also massive cultural shifts and changing tastes. Interview veterans of the industry too! I'd love to hear their thoughts!

Following the decimation of an armored column with cluster munitions, a plucky battle tank attempts to main cannon snipe an AV-8B. #flightsim#indiegame

@DoublTroublGum In terms of the fidelity of the jets themselves they're (debatably) not THAT different. What really sets Falcon apart though, is the way the campaign creates a context and environment where the jets are employed in a far more realistic way, with more realistic considerations.
@Viper1Zero I think it's the best flight sim made in the last 15 years. Not that, that would be a long list, but the level of ingenuity in its control scheme, is/was a total trailblazer, and the quality of its execution is sublime. VTOL VR makes it look so easy.
