Tired of watching our legends and your favourite actors die poor? 🇿🇦
We’ve watched the giants of our industry from the era of Gibson Kente to now, give their hearts and souls only for their lineage to be left with nothing. The "starving artist" isn't a cliché; it's a policy failure.
The @SentebaleFAD Guild is here to end it.

If the brand/production house refuses to sign? Walk away. >
Normalize walking away, dignity over hand to mouth handouts. If 10 of us do it, we’re a "risk." If 10,000 of us do it, we are the law. We are worth the value we create. Our culture sustains this nation; it’s time it sustained our families too.

Expect if you are poor, working class and live in a township.
Your roads don’t get fixed.
You use the bucket system for 20 years.
Never mind being out first or last, you are not seen at all and will be hidden by an Apartheid wall.
Is this the South Africa that’s working?
This is a vintage headline being reheated in the editorial microwave!😭 The UCT Council adopted the Gaza resolutions way back in June 2024. News24 is just recycling the outrage because UCT Vice-Chancellor Mosa Moshabela recently had to explain the exact R250 million receipt to a
One thing about proxies for vested and covert interests: they will parasitise the legacies and contributions of others.
To be fair, Tlhabi is just the latest in a very long line of people to parasitise the legacies of struggle heroes for self-aggrandisement and vested interests... including some of the people at foundations that bear their names.
The South African middle class gets punished for being productive. Earn a little more and SARS takes a bigger slice, yet you're still expected to fund your own medical aid, security, schooling and transport. Taxation without corresponding services is not fairness.

When failing private sector companies are bailed out with public money the media don't call it a 'bailout' and focus on exaggerated/false claims of jobs saved but when it's state enterprises with actual public mandates it's a different story...
I got R50k from NYDA but it took 27 months of sheer fighting, escalations, driving to the offices, using bad language, attending endless rudimentary workshops et al. Entities in the department of small businesses development are there to intentionally frustrate you so you give up

'Man of the people' who is so against the Deep State that the Deep State continually watches his back and hands over billions in contracts and subsidies.
If the Constitution shapes the kind of society we want, should it address school bullying?

Today, we unveil the official SACR logo.
More than a logo, it is a symbol of a growing citizen-led movement committed to accountability, public participation, and ensuring that the voice of ordinary South Africans is heard.
The hand, formed from the colours of our national flag, represents the people of South Africa. It reflects our belief that the Constitution belongs to the people and that citizens must remain at the centre of shaping our country’s future.
We invite every South African who shares these values to stand with us and make this symbol their own.
Reclaiming the Voice of the People.
