This is an excellent video from @MaggieMaeFish going into just how much of a disaster the remake of The Wicker Man is, and a great reminder to watch the original masterpiece https://t.co/xJeggVKESN
New episode! @tonycoogs joined Mark & Jay for Deep Blue Sea chapter 5, which just so happens to be the 200th episode! They discussed Susan’s herbs, Aquatica’s toilets, and whether Deep Blue Sea is actually a remake of The Wicker Man.

It's great to see that the BBC are showing The Final Cut of The Wicker Man for their Halloween horror selection. Really solidifies that this is the version of The Wicker Man to watch. Just got to Gently Johnny and I still get impressed with it's atmosphere
@FB_BMB These are subtle, downplayed performances compared to the nonsense Shia LaBeouf does here. I don't think anyone in the film acts like a normal human being
Going to be watching Witchfinder General in the cinema this afternoon. Along with The Wicker Man and Blood on Satan's Claw, this is one of the defining folk horror films. It'll be great to see it in the cinema @wshed
I've just seen that the @wshed is doing a screening of Witchfinder General on Sunday. Of course I've got my tickets booked. Only Blood on Satan's Claw left before I've seen all of the folk horror trinity in the cinema.
Had a great afternoon at the Forbidden Worlds Film Festival today. The atmosphere is great throughout the festival and I had a nice little chat with @Jimllpaintit on The Wicker Man, even telling him about this podcast. @FWFilmFestival
If it wasn't for the Directors Cut and later the Final Cut, my podcast would never have been made. Roger Corman left an incredible mark on the film world and should never be forgotten. Rest in Peace
If it wasn't for Roger Corman, there would be no Wicker Man Director's Cut.
In the early 1970s, UK distributors sent Roger a 1 inch tape of the film to distribute it in the US, but Roger thought they wanted too much. Roger kept it for decades, and was the ONLY surviving copy!
Just heard Willow's Song be played on Radio 6, as a tribute to the 50th anniversary. Great to see Paul Giovanni's work on the film be recognised like this
It's been 50 years since The Wicker Man was first released as the B film in a double bill with Don't Look Now. Perfect time to go over my deep dive podcast on The Wicker Man
