On #IWD2024 there are vulnerable women in prison in Scotland being made more afraid and traumatised because the state is choosing to place among them men imprisoned for serious offences, who have told the state they now identify as women. This man supports that.
Deeds not words.
@Docstockk@Booner82@Gillian_Philip@ForWomenScot@jk_rowling That is lovely. Mary told me about her diagnosis in the pub, which is where a lot of women’s plotting seems to happen in Edinburgh. Before I could say any of the usual inadequate platitudes she apologised. I was standing in a local by-election and Mary was not fit to deliver>
"The grassroots women’s movement I am proud to be a part of is an influential collective whose purpose is to protect and advance our rights. This common thread binds us as we celebrate the diversity of womanhood as a positive as we celebrate the strength and resilience of women everywhere."
Now THIS is an article that celebrates, rather than scolds (as Gomersall did). Thank you @AshReganALBA and Happy Birthday!

This recreational land by the river was bought from the legacy of local seamstress Miss Wares at the turn of the 20th century, so it seems an apt spot to #BeMoreMary. #IWD2024, #IWD
In memory of Mary 💔 this a reminder that we can all #BeMoreMary as she was a great woman who was always reminding people to buy the badges from @ForWomenScot to support them in all the work that they do for us. So on this #IWD , buy some badges today. 👇👇 💜🤍💚
In honour of the wonderful Mary Gordon, a woman who would not wheesht, I asked @heartofechos to create some reminders that we can all #BeMoreMary. As an expert on suffragette history, I think Mary would have approved. If you find one anywhere, please tie a ribbon on her behalf.
