@AaronBastani@KevinClimate That is total bollocks.
If we stopped burning fossil fuels tomorrow there would be years of weather uncertainty including wild extremes over the decade scale.
In years past, thousands of people died of cold, luckily they were saved by industrialisation. Today’s problems pale.
@PhilipHensher@drianpace I call for the establishment of a statutory body to examine the claims of people whose careers rest on improbable life stories.
It *must*, I repeat *must*, be called “The Walter Mitty Committee”.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
@PhilipHensher@AllisonPearson@chrisbaxter76 would rather I had used the phrase “let’s pretend” because “thought experiment” is a bit de trop. Here’s some vernacular for you Chris: fuck off. (Ps I can’t reply because the cowardly twat has blocked me). I do love the internet.
@PhilipHensher@AllisonPearson Well ok if you want to draw me into a wider point— is it possible to be an expert in a large field of you have expertise in a significant part of that field (but not another) but also know all the underlying theory?
@AaronBastani@garyseconomics Not really; if the drop off is people who just about had an expensive house and some assets, taking them over 1mil. A graphic showing the 10mil plus would be more instructive (and I suspect not show the same story).
