On this International Day for Biodiversity, we join the global community in celebrating and protecting the rich diversity of life that sustains our planet.
This year’s theme, “Acting Locally for Global Impact,” reminds us that every conservation effort matters. Healthy catchments sustain thriving wildlife and resilient communities by providing clean water, supporting biodiversity, and protecting livelihoods.
Conserving our forests, wildlife and natural ecosystems is a shared responsibility that secures our future and that of generations to come.
Together, we can! 💪

When the world’s greatest runner meets a world leader - they run. 🏃🏾♂️🇰🇪
President Emmanuel Macron laced up in Nairobi today, joining Eliud Kipchoge for a run through the city that raised champions. No podium. No protocol. Just the road, the rhythm, and the spirit of Kenya.
This is what Magical Kenya does to you.

Kenya is proud of you! 🇰🇪 💚
Dame Daphne Sheldrick believed elephants can read your heart – and once you've earned their trust and affection, they never forget it.
This Valentine's Day, we'd love to help you find your orphan match. Perhaps a spirited troublemaker who keeps the Keepers on their toes. A gentle soul who comforts newer arrivals. Or a resilient survivor who refused to give up. Meet the orphans in our care and see who's your perfect partner:

Kenya Wildlife Service successfully completed the translocation of three young Rothschild giraffes from Soysambu Conservancy, Naivasha, to the Giraffe Centre in Nairobi.
Aged between 2–3 years, the giraffes were relocated to strengthen genetic diversity, prevent inbreeding, and secure the long-term sustainability of the Nubian giraffe population through continued breeding.
This milestone conservation effort, implemented through strong collaboration between Kenya Wildlife Service, the @GiraffeCenter , and Soysambu Conservancy, emphasizes the power of partnerships in safeguarding biodiversity, supporting conservation-based tourism, and strengthening Kenya’s wildlife economy—today and for generations to come.

Farewell to a true legend of the savannah 🐘💔
Craig, the iconic super tusker of Amboseli National Park, has passed away at 54 from natural causes. With tusks sweeping the ground (each over 100lbs!), a gentle demeanor that made him a photographer's dream, and a life protected by dedicated rangers and Maasai guardians, he was a symbol of successful conservation and Africa's vanishing giants.
He fathered many calves, mentored younger bulls, and even became a Tusker beer ambassador. Fewer than a handful of super tuskers remain—his legacy reminds us why we must fight for them.
Rest easy, gentle giant. Your footprints will echo forever. 🌍
RIP CRAIG, AMBOSELI’S LARGEST TUSKER
We have sad news to start the year. Craig, Amboseli’s largest tusker, has died of suspected natural causes at 54 years old.
