Ironically, calling an entire generation lazy instead of addressing real problems with cost of living, housing, and employment…IS LAZY. It’s tough even for people that work hard, save, and have good jobs.
The goal of every generation is to leave it better than you found it. That’s simply not happening. Even as a young person, the country I grew up in is becoming unrecognizable. It’s not complaining to want the same quality of life as our parents and grandparents.
I have yet to see democrats or republicans address this issue properly. Economically, they’re one and the same because they’re both controlled by elites and corporate interests. The party that actually starts listening to real everyday Americans first is the party of the future.
My favorite part of Catholicism (I converted from Atheism in my 20s) is that I believe the Church has the authority to make these kinds of decisions, and I don't need to worry.
It's a Church for normies and theological commoners. It frustrates people who think they're special.
Justice Thomas spells out what it is to be an American perfectly, and why birthright should be for children of lawful citizens: it means to have "no other homeland," to owe "no allegiance to any foreign power," and to be "subject to no other authority."
JD Vance says the GOP is moving towards Hamiltonian economics and not Friedman-style laissez faire economics, enabling self-actualization, leisure, and family formation.
“The economy is a tool to serve the dignity of the human person.”

@Josh_Manning If we’re using that standard, every government on earth exists on the basis of a “barrel of a gun.” When civilization dawned in ancient Mesopotamia, it did not do so through a voluntarist libertarian commune.
@Josh_Manning At least in principle, the Communist Manifesto would lead to a utopian situation, as well- problem is that’s not reality. Often hard to take movement conservatives seriously when their hardened opposition to “government spending” suddenly disappears when it affects themselves
@RyanGirdusky The Vatican is a few city blocks with 200 citizens. Papal gendarmerie aren’t going to be invading any Vatican neighbors soon. So there are fundamental differences.
Straight from the mouth of Fr Steven MacDonald, assistant to the SSPX US district superior:
"Catholics are not obliged to attend the New Mass to fulfill the Sunday Precept. In fact, for those who have knowledge of its inherent problems, the New Mass is to be completely avoided ... . When a traditional Mass is not available ... one is dispensed from attending Mass on a Sunday or Holy Day."

The suicide rate is more than 3x higher (!!!) for working-class white men without a college degree than those who have a college degree.
