Wow. 3 weeks! Had the similar experience with @CloudflareHelp . Tried signing up for a business account but failed so we filed support to help us unblock with the sign up process but we have been waiting for 10 days with follow-ups — nothing.
Losing any faith in @CloudflareHelp 3 wks, no response. Sign up to business ($250/mo) to find a solution. Zero live chat, no response to any tickets and newly opened tickets getting "resolved" (closed) immediately - genuinely terrible support experience.
Tragic decision that endangers all road users, not just cyclists. Sad to see a Mobility Award-winning city backtracking on gains in mobility & road safety. Tragic that this is MMDA's guidance.
Hoping Mayor @franciszamora30 reconsiders. He has a history of listening to science.
My favorite part of biking to GH/podium/Megamall was the protected bike lanes along Ortigas. Pinagyabangan ko nga na may protected bike lanes sa San Juan ☹️

Read up on induced demand. Taking away bike lanes isn't going to ease traffic
3 years ago, San Juan was one of the first cities brave enough to put up pop-up bike lanes in Metro Manila amidst the pandemic. Other cities looked at SJ for inspiration - they were so ahead!
To see them go backwards is heartbreaking. I hope @sanjuancityncr does better.
A bike lane without bollards is no bike lane at all.
Thank you @MMDA and Mayor @franciszamora30 for choosing to fill another lane with traffic instead of giving your constituents a safe and time-saving way to travel.
@WilhaneL @jobdln @sanjuancityncr@franciszamora30@MoveAsOnePH This is so disappointing to hear. I went to school in San Juan, lived in or near San Juan for most of my life. The protected bike lanes there made me it safe for me to visit family by bike. Cateyes aren’t going to save me from a distracted car / bus / jeepney driver.
Thank you for the response but the Ortigas protected bike lanes is what motivated me get off my car and to bike to work in the first place. I’m sad to see the bollards go😰 the cateyes are insufficient protection without enforcement! @sanjuancityncr@franciszamora30@MoveAsOnePH
It's fundamentally flawed anyways to reduce congestion by adding more lanes as that induces more car use, increasing traffic volume aka. the very definition of heavy traffic.
Taking safe, exclusive and protected bike lanes out just gives people less options besides driving.
Removing bollards under the guise of easing congestion conveniently doesn't mention that you're letting cars pass through the bike lane to achieve that, negating the purpose of a bike lane. Cateyes are a cop out when drivers hardly care for paint and cyclists
