When @BBC showed the episode of Blue Lights earlier this year that graphically depicted a paramilitary-style shooting, there was widespread disbelief that these still happened. They're actually increasing in number. These brutal human rights abuses must be called out as such.

Another human rights abuse carried out last night in Ards. Another brutal act that will have life-changing consequences for the victim. These actions don't protect communities - they are rooted in the power and control criminal gangs want over neighbourhoods. This must end.

Tonight, another young man has suffered brutal gunshot injuries in West Belfast. Injuries & trauma that will live with him forever. In whose name & for what aim? This is not our peace. This is abuse. Those who carried this out are abusers and criminals, nothing more. #StopAttacks
