happening - I do not think there are many examples in the professional world where there is such apathy and indifference (and general incompetence) as doctors in training experience.
Being able to link two, seemingly unrelated, meningitis cases may prevent someone else coming in through the front door in extremis if they are able to be traced and given prophylaxis by a health protection team.
In short, the LP is not just about the patient in front of you.
