Our grad students here at Ole Miss are so good.
One of our rising stars, @WillRMoffatt (4th year), developed this idea for his term paper in my Family Economics course. We joined forces with our resident master of econometrics, John Gardner, to give our best answer to this question: Could a foreign buyer tax raise marriage and birth rates? Read all about it below.

@lymanstoneky@FamStudies Can you say for certain that the purple areas are even "good" jobs? The map looked different when you do share of men earning 60k+ per 100 women instead.
If you took principles with me this semester, you should not be surprised by this problem. You would have known the equilibrium outcome several weeks ago. Maybe some decision makers in CFB need to take a principles class.. @RebelEconProf@GarrettEdScott
Pete Golding later referenced former Ole Miss LB T.J. Dottery, who transferred to LSU.
“Not comparing [Ferrelli] to a guy who’s been a starter somewhere that wasn’t in the portal that’s at a new school now after going to a semifinal — like what are we doing? That’s the piece where everybody’s at. There’s an enforcement of [Ferrelli], who just took an, but there’s not an enforcement of [Dottery], who was here for three years, and he’s been tampered with the entire time? What are we doing?”

Four incredible years in the sip come to a close today. Very fortunate to have been a part of this program and to get to do what I love everyday alongside some amazing people. Thank you @OleMissFB!
Hotty Toddy!
In explaining his decision to leave Ole Miss for LSU, Lane Kiffin seems willing to invoke Ole Miss's struggle to distance itself from symbols like the Confederate flag, Colonel Rebel, and the nickname "Ole Miss" itself.
When he was coaching there, Kiffin says, top recruits would tell him, “‘Hey, coach, we really like you. But my grandparents aren’t letting me move to Oxford, Mississippi.’ That doesn’t come up when you say Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Parents were sitting here this weekend saying the campus’s diversity feels so great: ‘It feels like there’s no segregation’” https://t.co/kNueefe5qK
It the solution to this more complicated than having bigger buyouts in NIL contracts. If a school sets a buyout at some amount and another school is willing to pay it what’s the real issue? If you want to make sure this doesn’t happen set the buyout extremely high.
Dabo Swinney says the Ole Miss GM communicated to Luke Ferrelli's agent that he wanted no part of this but "Pete Golding just does what he does."
Ferrelli got a text while he was in his 8 a.m. class.
"I know you're signed. What's the buyout," Golding allegedly said.
