@mcuban Price Transparency is definitely abhorrent when hospitals don’t report the same CPT, but ins. payment rate reporting that will likely be a bigger failure since there is no single methodology for payments. Single contract style payment system is the only way to make info useful

@mcuban Hospitals’ commercial contracts typically have carve-outs for high cost drugs and implants. These are usually percent of charge and may require minimum charge amount to meet the term - so there’s an incentive to have inflated purchases. (And that’s free consulting advice)
