Crimea was part of Russia from 1783 to 1954. (171 years) Khrushchev by decree (an executive order) gave Crimea to Ukraine in 1954 without the consent of the local population (which is over 65% ethnic Russians while only 16% are Ukrainians). 

Exhibit 2) 
With the fall of the USSR, the people of Crimea created the independent Republic of Crimea in 1992, but in 1995 Ukraine annexed it without the consent of the people of Crimea not unlike Nazi Germany annexing Austria. So much for respecting borders. 

Go on research the Republic of Crimea created in 1992.

Wrong. Many Jews were exiled by the Romans under Titus, then under Hadrian. But Jews remained. The Jews were in the land of Israel non stopped and are recorded living in Israel in the late Roman Empire, then under the Byzantine Empire, then under the Arab Conquest states, then under the Crusaders, then under the Ottoman Empire, then under the British Empire (mandate). Then the state of Israel was reborn. Continuous Jewish presence.
