@fishbelfast Very sad news about the death of a stalwart member of our Society and Carleton expert Tom McKeagney. His funeral Mass will be held in Fivemiletown at 11:00am on Saturday. May he rest in peace.
The death has taken place in Dublin of the poet Mary Guckian. She contributrd to the 2012 summer school. Mary was from Kiltoghert Co.Leitrim & grew up on one of the many organic farms dotting the local landscape. This harmony with nature inspired her poetry. May she rest in peace
The funeral Mass for Arthur (Art) Quinn RIP was held at Sacred Heart church Omagh this afternoon followed by burial in his native parish of Ballymacnab, Co. Armagh. Arthur a former teacher was 90 & attended our 1st summer school in Clogher in 1992 & returned regularly thereafter.
