I was quite certain it was going to be another failure. Since then, I have exercised almost everyday, lost 15 kg / 33 lbs, started sleeping (and waking up) much earlier and have felt much better. I hope this time is for real. #changinghabits
Day 404: #jft#1daat # ProjectRehab
Regarding my weight, since October, I have (once again) given up on a diet, just to start another one in January. Like Forrest Gump, for no particular reason, I started walking everyday at 5 AM.
Day 402: wow ... a lot has happened since my last tweet. Good: the will to gamble really doesn’t bother me.
Bad: every now and then, life reminds me of the effects of gambling and slap me in the face, like today, when I couldn’t give my daughter something she really wanted.
@HopeFresh Congratulations to you and your family ! You are a true inspiration.
Make the most wonderful memories with all your loved ones and be really happy there.
@HopeFresh Congratulations. You are one of my biggest supporters (and one of the first ones, also) and I am really proud to see where you are. You seem to be really enjoying life.
Day 212: #jft#1daat
Day 15: 108.4/239. Recap: busy week. Ups and downs. Not on my best behavior, but could have done a lot worse. Avoiding sugar, but still not totally out of it. No workouts 🙁. That must change soon. #ProjectRehab
Day 204: #jft#1DAAT
Day 7: 110/242. Recap: not a good day. Family at my house, which meant food and drinks. Not as much as I would have on a regular Sunday, but still more than I should have. Hopefully, just a small step back. #ProjectRehab
Day 203: #jft
Day 6: same weight. Recap: first Saturday wasn’t good, but not terrible, either. Weekends will always be a challenge. As long as it doesn’t go up, that’s a win. Still laughable workout. That can get better. #ProjectRehab
Day 201: just another day
Day 4: 110kg/242lbs. Recap: food was ok, still not great (but thankfully no candy). Laughably light workout (but not zero). Now comes the real challenge - the weekend. #ProjectRehab
@HopeFresh That’s been by far my biggest problem for decades. And, as you can imagine, I’ve tried lots of different approaches. But, when I started writing about gambling, I realized how ashamed I would be if I had to write that I’d failed. So I’m hoping that approach will work again.
Day 199. No news is good news (on gambling). About six months ago, I’ve decided to expose my addiction here and, truth is, it was the best decision I could have made. I feel liable to the people that have supported me. Now comes the hard part (cont.)
Day 200 : another small milestone on the long marathon.
Day 3 : same weight. Recap from day 2 : food was ok, but there was some sugar involved. No workout. It is clear I will need some workout or step up on the diet.
Sorry for the long text. Thank you for your help.
Day 01 (Oct 16): 111.6 kg / 246 lbs. No workout. Food ok (definitely not great).
Day 02 (today): 110.6 kg / 244 lbs. First day is usually easy ...

I have tried many different things and nothing has worked long term. Now I am at my worst and health is starting to become an issue. So I’ve decided to go with what worked. I will expose myself once again. It won’t be every day, but should be a few times a week. (cont.)
@OG440 Thank you. I think I will try it, as it is a game with friends from work and the stakes are really low. Completely different than old habits. Just for today and one day at a time have been really working for me.
Day 146. Nothing to report in quite a while, which is good. However, started to wonder if playing very low stakes games (like poker) with friends would be a setback. It is much more fun than gambling. Any thoughts ? #ProjectRehab#addiction#support#thankyou
Day 121. Haven’t posted in a while. Got some unexpected cash today. Amazing how much you can do when it’s not automatically transferred to the gambling account. #ProjectRehab#jft#lifeisgood#1daat
