Great news that the Court of Appeal has ruled against a Holocaust Memorial in Victoria Tower Gardens but so sad that if the Government had listened to the views of us and others the Memorial could have been completed by now where it should be - at the nearby Imperial War Museum.
The public rightly expect government to be conducted properly, competently and seriously.
I recognise this may be my last ministerial job, but I believe these standards are worth fighting for and that is why I am resigning.
My letter to the Prime Minister below.
.@susannareid100 tells the PM about 77-year-old Elsie who eats one meal a day and stays on the bus all day to avoid using energy at home.
She questions the PM about the comments he made about people having to make choices about what they spend their money on.
The government had a deadline to meet,to keep open the option of appeal.
Let us hope they also keep open the option of getting supporters and objectors around a table to try to heal divisions and find a constructive way forward.

“What drives us down this road is sheer political prejudice. Not the facts. Because the facts do not support a case for cruelty.”
Lord Kerr destroys Priti Patel’s narrative about refugees with three simple facts.
We went to see Richard Ratcliffe on day 9 of his hunger strike. The ongoing torment of this innocent family is a failure of British democracy in its core aim: to protect its citizens. Nazanin must come home. How on earth will we reverse climate change if we can’t even fix this?
I've signed the petition calling on @BorisJohnson and George Eustice to protect UK #wildlife, not property developer's profits! Will you add your name too? https://t.co/iLlwXtgRGp
I've just signed a petition to make passengers and workers safer by keeping mandatory masks on public transport. Add your name now: https://t.co/wl6Opo2TUO
