And then there’s the maths. 😅 I’ve never been a big fan of maths, but I knew I couldn’t avoid it forever if I wanted to seriously pursue AI and machine learning. Interestingly, the book has a separate section that teaches the mathematics alongside the deep learning concepts.
I’m also beginning to see just how powerful deep neural networks are. They can work with complex and large inputs and solve different types of problems, from predicting numbers to classifying things into different categories.

One idea that really caught my attention is the concept of training a model. Basically, we’re searching through a family of possible equations to find the one that best describes the relationship between our inputs and outputs.

I recently started reading Understanding Deep Learning by Simon J.D. Prince. I came across it through a random post on Twitter. Several books were recommended, but I decided to start with this one. Recommended by @swapnakpanda

Day 36 🐍
I'm back, feeling better. Did 3 out of 4 psets today for week 6.
Submitting them tomorrow after I finish the last one, and maybe move to week 7.

So today I learnt about *args and **kwargs, which I've not heard before during my learning, and I decided to try a new project on how to work on it. I barely passed; this one I did is help that came from above, but I will keep on sharpening my tools to be better.
Update on the Project. I've finally completed the to-do CLI app. I spent today working on it, debugging it, and it's working perfectly now and moving up to the next stage.
So what's the next project?
Ohh, now I remember, it is to build a Number-guessing game
I'm just like you; I just decided to do something different. I was learning, so I decided to start building projects with real-world use. The more I build projects, the more solid I become in Python. Here are some examples of projects I will be working on, which include:
@WilliamsNwachi Nice one. I'd also like to build something, and even if I am not very solid with Python, I'd still love to give it a shot. Any idea where or how I can get project suggestions?
For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.

Anthropic engineer:
"You're not supposed to prompt Claude. You're supposed to build a system that prompts itself."
In 45 minutes she shows exactly how Anthropic builds agents that remember, fix their own mistakes and get smarter with every run.
This beats any paid course on agents I've seen.
Watch it, then read the guide on building loops below.
Open-weight models are essential to a healthy AI ecosystem. Together with others across our industry, we are outlining a path for open-weight models to strengthen American competitiveness and expand economic opportunity, while protecting national security. https://t.co/Tr0sAzAxTD

1. Be vigilant in keeping your conversations, inboxes, direct messages, emails, & texts PURE.
2. Beware of those who use phrases like "this is between us," "you can trust me," or "I won't tell anyone" to get you to lower your guards or remove your boundaries.
3. Anything sown in secret is subject to a public harvest.
4. So be loving; but not lenient. Be friendly but firm. Be compassionate but clear.
5. Don't tolerate inbox chatter that would compromise your character or taint your testimony.
6. Let the last time you did it be the last time you will ever do it.
I hope this is clear?
Good evening, guys. So I wanted to sharpen my Python skills, so I embarked on a project. I'm working on a to-do CLI app which I am building from scratch. As you can see, I'm still in the first phase and making different mistakes, but I think I will correct them as time goes b.y
