The Williston Department of Public Works has reopened North Williston Road on July 13th at 8 AM as flood waters have receded. River Cove Road remains closed.
Dangers from flooding are not over. Continue to use caution. Remember, floodwaters may contain ⬇️

INBOX: Just after midnight, @POTUS approved Vermont’s emergency declaration.
(@SenSanders & @PeterWelch said they spoke to the President’s Chief of Staff Monday night.).
The Montpelier City Manager says the Wrightsville Dam is near capacity and a release of this dam would bring a large amount of ADDITIONAL water into the city via the North Branch of the Winooski.
Praying for the people of Montpelier… this situation is precarious.

Williston Fire Dept currently on scene with a hazardous materials incident at Avenue D. The roadway is closed to traffic at Industrial Ave and Ave D as well as Ave C at Ave D Extension.
More information will be available shortly.
✅ All is well that ends well … the fire was contained to the oven which was removed from the house. The homeowner and home are safe with no extension 🔥
