The Commanders absolutely have to get an offensive weapon with their pick at 71. Some thoughts.
1) I don't see them moving up. If you adore a guy? Maybe. But they don't have the capital and I don't see them dipping into future picks to do it.
2) We're going to sit around and watch a lot of WR's come off the board wishing the Commanders could've gotten them.
3) I would not hate a burner of an RB at 71 but it feels like based on the board, there will be potential starting caliber WR2's avail at 71. Take one. Then get a lottery ticket speed-back later.
4) A center or a guard would be practical and I'm sure there is some interest in beefing up the IOL in the room. But it's time to get Daniels a weapon. So far this offseason they've added Okonkwo and ... ?
5) If you do take a WR: Do you draft a Terry-like piece thinking his days are dwindling or a complimentary piece to play with him for the next couple of seasons? I think you try to find an X and worry about being redundant another day.
On the Commanders possibly drafting a WR at 7.
1) WSH has drafted just 2 WR's in the first round since 2001.
2) Last time WSH drafted a WR in top 10 was in 1995 (Michael Westbrook).
3) Team's only taken two WR's in Top 10 ever (Desmond Howard and Westbrook).
@funnydanny Red faction was so good. Destroying structures with grenades and hammers, watching NPC factions fight each other, very pre-borderlands with some of the driving.

@grantpaulsen can you imagine if the end of the season last year played out differently and we were staring down JJ McCarthy at 5th or 6th? Jayden all day baby.
