@Josiah_B_Bates I see what you’re saying however, most of your dispensational would see their being promises still for Israel that our spiritual yes there are a lot of physical blessings which I think was first also disproves as well, though not as clear as some other others
“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.” 1 Corinthians 3:6–7
Only God, not man, is decisive in bringing into being life and growth.
“You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.” Leviticus 19:34
Christians know the miserable bondage we were all in.
The total freedom of unconditional grace.
“It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the Lord set his love on you. But it is because he loves you” (Deuteronomy 7:7–8).
He loved them because he loved them.
“I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy” (Exodus 33:19).
@JohnPiper Hey y’all, I usually don’t come here on X however I just wanna say he’s right on this. I think we really need to see this. We once were strangers in a foreign land as well.
