@GaryLineker@RestIsFootball When a player has to go off injured, should his assailant stay off for the same length of time ( foul or not) - up to maximum of 6 weeks!
And for a free kick- limit the number of defenders behind the ball - maybe to the number there were at the time of the foul.
@GaryLineker@RestIsFootball I know there's lots of concern about the danger of heading, and it makes me shudder to see a goalie clearance being headed on the halfway line. Would it spoil the game if headers were only allowed within the penalty area?
@tompeck@ottolenghi I was impressed by this so made it today. Magnificent! However it was pissing down so didn't want to pick fresh thyme so went for dried oregano. The jar actually contained home made Sri Lankan curry mix. Gave it a lovely kick!
@daveatherton Pop into one of the restaurants round there (like Al Faisal) on a Saturday night. Full of families of 3, sometimes 4 generations all having an excellent, fun, wholesome time with not a drop of alcohol in sight. And wonder which community has it right.
@GaryLineker But that suits our browbeaten attitude. I remember one winter's afternoon, years ago losing 4-0 as our winger ran down towards an open goal and a voice rang out "Carrodus! Don't you dare put us out of our misery!"
@GaryLineker As an Aston Villa season ticket holder, we have become well aware that we are just there as confetti, and as spectators we don't matter to the corporate behemoth.
@HansenAdam Yes I agree. But as a cyclist, and amateur racer myself in the past, and many years a viewer of TdF, I've realised that if the motos and spectators that knock the riders off weren't there, then the riders wouldn't be there either. It's the popularity that pays for the sport.
