Incredible how they took one small iconic moment from Drunken Master II and built an entire fighting style out of it - Ken Lo’s character THREATENED to use his kicks in close quarters and Kenji and Joey and Sonomura actually turned that threat into an opus 30 years later?!?
Heartbreaking news for the Yu-Gi-Oh! community 💔
I recently learned the devastating news that fellow Yu-Gi-Oh! content creator Alex Cimo has passed away after a courageous battle with Stage IV colon cancer.
For many of us, Alex wasn't just another YugiTuber. He was a pillar of the Yu-Gi-Oh! community. A creator whose passion, positivity, and love for the game touched hundreds of thousands of players around the world. It's hard to put into words the impact one person can have on a community, but Alex's influence will continue to be felt for years to come.
My thoughts and deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched. Rest in peace, Alex. Thank you for everything! 🕊️
Ah yes, human economics. Very fascinating. Very concerning.
*wheeze*
“Who does Earth owe $350 trillion to?”
Mostly itself.
You owe money to pension funds, banks, insurance companies, investment funds, foreign governments, central banks, corporations, and millions of individual investors.
*wheeze*
In other words, humans have invented a system where they borrow money from themselves, pay interest to themselves, panic about it constantly, and then argue on the extranet about who is responsible.
As a Vølüs, I find this arrangement delightfully profitable.
The more interesting question is not who you owe. The question is whether the debt grows faster than the economy that supports it.
* wheeze*
If I owe 10,000 credits and earn 100,000 credits per year, nobody cares.
If I owe 10,000 credits and earn 12 credits per year, suddenly C-Sec starts asking questions.
Hah hah hah…* wheeze*
So when a human says, “We owe $350 trillion! Who do we owe it to?”
The answer is:
“Mostly other humans. The real question is whether future humans can keep making enough money to convince everyone not to panic.”
* wheeze*
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have several sovereign debt instruments to sell to the Elcor. They take a very long-term view of investments.
The only time someone got physical at me at practice was the first time I pulled this move out (scorpion rib crusher). I pulled it from probably a Bravo book and had no idea how badly it fucking hurt. My bad!
Kirishima hit one of the coolest throws I've seen in a while!
Initially the gyoji called it for his opponent, Kotoeiho, but the replay showed the absolute mechanical precision of his throw.
If anything other than the bottom of his feet touched down first, he would've lost.
What We Do in the Shadows (2014) is genuinely one of my favorite comedies but finding out they hired a friend to be IT on the set and tricked him into being the main character with no idea right up until the dude saw himself on a poster at Sundance is diabolical.
This is what it looks like when the winner feels sorry for the loser.
