Hearing lots of complaints about us bringing Academy lads to win grassroots 5 a side tournaments rather than our own players from our club
THIS IS COACHING! We are teaching "WIN AT ALL COSTS", we are asking kids TO BE BETTER & WORK HARDER AND NEVER RELAX & EVERYONE IS EXPENDABLE
Tactics Time!
Kids aren't good at dealing with high balls & GK's are often small & crap
Put a big lad at the back that can kick it far
Put a big lad up front who is fast & can score
Win every week!
🏆🥇⚽️
@DanielC65397869 It's ALL about winning with kids!
How many posts do you see here from parents saying "so proud of XXXX today. They lost 5-2 but they managed to play out from the back"
vs
Picture of kid with £4 trophy "So proud, won the tournament today" failing to mention the 4 ringers
If you POFTB with kids, they WILL make mistakes. This will cost you wins. Best to teach them to #GetItLaunched right from the start. Kids are terrible at dealing with the high ball, so easy to win it far away from your goal, score and win👍
#WinAtAllCosts
Our first night back at training ⚽️🇮🇪
We focused on POFTB with the topic for next 4 weeks of transition to defend
🔴 try score in small goals while building from the back
🔵Try win ball back and score big goal
If 🔵win ball we want quick reaction from 🔴to win it back #11v11
@jungrassroots These bloody do gooders insisting it's about the experience & development! It's about adults playing a real life simulator of Football Manager using children as the assets
@Secretgrassroo2 There's a generation of Man Utd fans, not born in Manchester of course, who have given birth to a generation of Man City fans, also not born in Manchester🤣
Our ELITE coaches only work with the best players!
If you're great, they'll make you better!
NB - If you're not already great, they won't make you better & if you're not as great as they think you are they won't make you better, that's how good they are!
I watched it with the sound off.
I'm assuming, like our coaches, he's screaming instructions using jargon the kid doesn't fully understand & then while he's walking away, he's tapping up a kid he's already seen hurdle it rather than show patience with the one that can't!
One thing that is clear about UK grassroots, despite the national teams lack of success, is we create winners! We do whatever takes to do so;
Destroy kids by dropping them for better ones✅
Use better kids instead of paying kids✅
Abuse, cheat & argue with anyone ✅
😍
@CobbleSteve To turn them into winners is the reason!
Anything that adult pro teams do is clearly great for pre pubescent too. We've got them all those vests to track the distances they run in our mini kickers team. Any player not doing 6km a session, just runs for the next one🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
This is 💯 true!
If any of our players don't have WINNERS attitudes; getting frustrated at worse players, getting angry with refs & opponents, basically blaming anyone but themselves for things going wrong, our coaches demonstrate how to do that properly for them!
#NeverWrong
💬 ''Attitude is such a big component of football and coaches pay close attention to players' attitudes both on and off the pitch.''
#grassrootsfootball ⚽
@Secretgrassroo2 Don't be daft! How can kids improve & learn if you're not screaming instructions & jargon at them!!!!
That's what teachers do in the classrooms right?
Right?
What’s better than a tournament in the sunshine?
Smashing a mid level tournament in the sunshine when you’ve got two ringers in from academies🥰
Time to post loads of pics on my Facebook!!
It really does take quite an unhinged adult to become triggered by children at a tournament designed to support grassroots clubs financially.
If you are such an individual please get in touch with us as a home for your child (obviously only if they're good) or to be a coach 👍
Tip Youth Coaching Tip #71
Shouting 'Come on,we did this at training!' when the team gets it wrong lets everyone know you have done your bit,but the players haven't listened. This will help them to get it right.
For extra help to jog memory, flap your arms a couple of times.
@TheSecretGrass@BCFC Out of 3,000 kids we have coached, one has become a brilliant pro
2000 gave up before their 14th birthday
999 don't still play as adults
But let's focus on that 1 shall we?
It does appear that every rule that is added to youth football competitions is to stop our coaches taking a win at all cost attitude to a kids game😡
Perhaps, if you want a kids game to be all about kids, affiliations & clubs should look at who is running these teams!
