There is a subtle dog-whistling on social media, propagated by pseudo accounts using my name to deliberately widen the electoral ‘Luo–Gikuyu’ divide. It surfaces almost every time I grant an interview where I critique certain national leaders. The latest example I’ve seen is a disturbing, distasteful claim that not only body-shames an entire community but does so with outright spite.

I used to ignore such propaganda. But for the sake of conscience and nationhood, I cannot let it pass any longer. Negative ethnicity is one of the social cancers eating away at our country, and I hope we can confront and deconstruct it through the National Dialogue Process.

All my official communication will always come through my verified platforms. While I have always welcomed critique and the sharpening of contradictions, I also implore Kenyans: in this age of misinformation, let us fact-check before we believe.

Namibia’s President, Her Excellency Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has firmly rejected a proposal from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to conduct trials of a hormonal intrauterine device (IUD) designed to prevent pregnancy for up to eight years in Namibia.

With resolute authority, President Nandi-Ndaitwah condemned the initiative as a profound injustice to the Namibian people and humanity at large.

In her official statement, the President declared:

“Namibia is a nation of modest size, with a population of just over 3 million. If any country should consider measures to curb population growth, it ought to be nations like the United States, with over 347 million people. Any attempt to hinder or suppress the growth of human potential in Namibia constitutes a grave injustice to our people and their future.”
