@SheffdeParty @offbeatorbit I've always taken culturally emo to be bands formed in the scene, maybe ex-emo band members, working out of an indie/diy scene and continue to have connection with it, but making different music (though it helps if that music could be described as "emotional"), eg. Bright Eyes
