Happy 2sday! 2-22-22 is my debut release day!
Fair waring, now I’ll randomly tweet book updates and all that.
but PLEASE don’t feel pressured. If you’re interested and like the blurb, cool, but even if we’re close it won’t offend me if you don’t read it.
@thescriptcenter@MikeWingerii I don’t know him, but if he’s a faithful pastor maybe God was allowing a wound to be cleaned out by people leaving so good things may follow- Praying for you all- 🧡
@10earthquakes@ApostateProphet@korrathetaymi 1. Not the topic of the original post
2. That’s called Whataboutism-a logical fallacy-it doesn’t actually address the problem Islam has, only shifts burdens.
3. You know all the things he says about Christianity?
4. your claims above don’t fit the definition of a grift.
@Markbhere2 So you don’t feel his actions line up with scripture?
Like “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather, expose them.” Ephesians 5:11
Or Proverbs 27:5 “Better is open rebuke
than hidden love.”
I have a hard time understanding the issue.
@nerdc0re84@JoshPhillipsPhD Sure! That sounds interesting- and I appreciate your respectfullness of the OP-
I think I'm about to head to bed- so tell me your thoughts in a DM and I'll get back to you after I wake up
night!
@nerdc0re84@JoshPhillipsPhD Ah- if you don't wish to discuss it I will respect that.
I have known people to change their minds and I personally like to grow in my understanding- but if that is not your cup of tea -its not.
@TTSQ_@EricEIEIO@muslimorthodoxy Not a lie- a point to the truth.
The man called him a good teacher- Christ is more than a teacher and he allowed people to think that through.
Jesus is the good he described. He is God.
@Archetypical20@enesovat22 They are different in many, many ways-
But on topic- As we talked about at the start-
Forgiveness with no payment of crime means it's not dealt with- just let go of. That is unjust. God is not an unjust God- crimes must be paid for.
God is just and loving -so he offers both.
@Archetypical20@enesovat22 Christ doesn't just forgive everyone- its not a magical ticket.
Jesus was clear that we need to repent. It's all over the Bible-
like in Luke 13:3 Jesus said:
“No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish”
The offer is open to everyone- not all accept
@Archetypical20@enesovat22 How is it a moral hazard?
God doesn't accept those who do not repent-
Some people claim they accept Him to get away with more sin- but God knows— as we talked about already-they do not repent-
@Archetypical20@enesovat22 So back being a criminal in Gods court- lets say the price of my crime is one billion dollars. I don't have the ability to pay that. But if someone pays my price- it's covered.
God is the giver of life- to sin is to go against life itself. The wage of sin is death.
(1/2)
@Archetypical20@enesovat22 We're back to God knowing the heart.
The Bible talked about this very topic in the book of Romans- its all there-
A God so good he doesn't excuse crime and he still makes sure it is paid by his own hands
Knowing what Christ did makes me want to stay away from sin more
@Archetypical20@enesovat22 Agreed Completely- God knows.
So the difference is that an unjust God lets the crime of sin go unpaid.
But God is completely just and all loving- so he paid the price.
We can not stand before God with only an apology, then he is unjust.
But God is so good he paid it too.
@Archetypical20@enesovat22 The “blanket out of punishment” only comes from sincere repentance.
As you pointed ou he knows our minds perfectly-
Jesus talked often about false conversion- like in Matthew 18:21-35
@Archetypical20@enesovat22 Even if this judge can read minds and knows how sorry I am- he would still be an unjust judge to let evil go unpunished.
But if I truly accept that someone else paid out of love, then I want nothing to do with sin anymore.
That's where trusting in Jesus comes in.
@Archetypical20@enesovat22 Then he is not just.
If I commit a crime and then go to a judge and say “I did it, and I'm really sorry”
And so that judge doesn't convict me of the crime- then he isn't following the law.
Buy if the judge pays my price for me both law and love are met.
