@Omgemeraldddd those subscriptions in cars now to unlock features are even worse. because what do you mean you can drop 24k and still have to pay $10/month for something like remote start HUH????
@PeteBogg so that tells me no. the whole spirit of the discussion is that these programs are frustrating to use (and should be designed better). i do not understand why you are so negative about something you don’t have experience in?
@PeteBogg@realLongWangMD@GlyphOkieMD@DrDiGiorgio have you ever used any healthcare programs, perchance? this is one of those things you understand when you use it. it’s frustrating to do the same prolonged slog when it doesn’t NEED to be a slog. you were going for the ad hominem even before verbals, don’t rlly get why
@DrDiGiorgio@PeteBogg@GlyphOkieMD I really hate the implication that you have to be old/stupid to have issues with EHR, Epic itself even has some weird quirks that can be very annoying, especially when it updates..
@PeteBogg@Blarg6020154870@TEinsteinMD@DrDiGiorgio it’s a bit more nuanced and scenario based.. verbal definitely isn’t the preferred method. It has a place within charting for a reason, but I do understand your concerns.
@PeteBogg@Blarg6020154870@TEinsteinMD@DrDiGiorgio to be clear verbal orders can be entered electronically, orders usually (when you are not a provider) have a section where it asks how the order was given and you can slap that it was verbal with the ordering provider. if it’s on paper it’s usually scanned iirc
@PeteBogg@DrDiGiorgio combine that with say, some of these older EHR programs, or niche ones. there are some qualities and features that can make charting much more tedious (not for safety as much as design, from what I can tell) than it needs to be.
@PeteBogg@DrDiGiorgio the clicks can sound a little weird let me describe it more like this; you know how sometimes you get settings buried in an app/computer that should not be so deep? That can be healthcare IT. What should be accessible is buried when it doesn’t need to be even for the tech-savvy.
@protopa @Hyogoko @thancredtheman @FF_XIV_EN I never contradicted myself, and at this point I'm pretty convinced you're trolling. Believe what you like. Clearly no one is going to change your mind.
@protopa @Hyogoko @thancredtheman @FF_XIV_EN It's incredibly hilarious to me to see you calling the FFXIV community toxic where you come in with the audacity to complain about severs in the midst of a global semiconductor shortage. Something SE warned us about for MONTHS in advance. Yes it sucks, but it's simply unlucky.
@protopa @Hyogoko @thancredtheman @FF_XIV_EN You have no clue as to what their source of servers- they have high standards. SE specifically stated that they want to BUY their servers, and install them personally, which Covid protocol in Japan has prevented. While the launch hurt, you are twisting it into something it's not.
@protopa @Hyogoko @thancredtheman @FF_XIV_EN You know there's always queues right? The login server allows people into the game in batches. Also, for the past year, covid and shortages have made it nigh impossible to get servers. They didn't have "more than enough time". Get your head out of the sand.
